What the program does

• Scholarships and bursaries for post-secondary, vocational and professional education.

Intended beneficiaries

Students resident in Canada pursuing recognized education or training, with priority to those experiencing financial need.

Eligibility

• Enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited post-secondary institution or recognized training program.
• Criteria for each award are published before applications open.
• Directors, officers, employees, selection-committee members and their relatives are not eligible.

How participants are selected

• Applications scored by an independent selection committee using a published rubric.
• Every committee member signs a conflict-of-interest declaration and recuses themselves where required.
• Reasons for each decision are documented and retained.

Assistance that may be provided

• Awards paid directly to the educational institution wherever possible.
• In-kind learning materials.

Applications & referrals

• Applications through the Scholarships & Bursaries page during an open cycle.

Delivery method

• Annual or semi-annual award cycles, subject to available funds.

Oversight

• Board-approved Scholarship & Bursary Policy.
• Annual review of criteria and outcomes by the board.

Expected outcomes

• Reduced financial barriers to education.
• Improved persistence and completion among recipients.

How results will be measured

• Number and value of awards (reported once awarded).
• Recipient progress reports at year end.

What the program does

• Workshop streams such as financial literacy, digital skills, English conversation, career readiness and health literacy.
• Seminars on civic knowledge and understanding Canadian institutions.
• Cultural and religious education sessions consistent with the Foundation’s purposes.

Eligibility

• Open to the public; some courses may have prerequisites or age requirements that are published in advance.

How participants are selected

• First-come registration, with a portion of places reserved for referrals from community agencies where demand exceeds capacity.

• Free or low-cost instruction and course materials.

Applications & referrals

• Registration through announced course listings; referrals accepted from community organizations.

Delivery method

• Qualified facilitators following written learning objectives; in person and online.

Oversight

• Course outlines approved by a board-appointed education committee.
• Facilitator qualifications verified.
