Partnerships
Partner With Us
We can do more, and do it better, by working with established organizations that share our commitment to public benefit.
Who we can work with
Types of partnership
Registered charities & other qualified donees
Organizations that meet the Income Tax Act definition of a qualified donee may receive gifts from the Foundation that further our charitable purposes, subject to due diligence and board approval.
Public institutions & governmental bodies
Schools, colleges, universities, libraries, health authorities and municipalities with whom we may cooperate on charitable projects.
Non-profit organizations
Collaboration only where legally permissible and under an appropriate written arrangement that preserves the Foundation’s accountability. Not every non-profit is a qualified donee.
Businesses & professionals
In-kind support, pro bono professional services and employee volunteering.
No partnerships to date
The Foundation has not yet entered into any partnership or made any gift. Partnerships will be listed on our Governance & Transparency page once formally approved.
Our standards
What every partnership requires
- Clear alignment with one or more of our charitable purposes.
- Verification of legal status (for example, against the CRA’s published list of qualified donees).
- A written agreement setting out purpose, responsibilities, timelines and reporting.
- Conflict-of-interest declarations by everyone involved in the decision.
- Board approval and documented records.
